Handlez ("we") is a read-only companion app for Yahoo Fantasy Basketball.
When you sign in with Yahoo we receive an account identifier (Yahoo OpenID sub) and access to your fantasy basketball data (leagues, teams, rosters, matchups, standings, transactions, player stats). We never see your Yahoo password. We store your settings (default league, strategy, protected players, notification preferences), your watchlist, and, if you enable notifications, your device's push token and app language. We store Yahoo access tokens encrypted on our servers so the app can read your leagues.
When the app or server hits an error we keep a redacted report (error type, screen, app version) for 14 days to fix bugs. Reports contain no account, device, or advertising identifiers.
To learn which features help, we record a short list of actions in the app: connecting a league, opening the weekly plan or one of its alternatives, changing strategy, opening a page in Yahoo, opening a plan alert, opening or asking the assistant, rating an answer, and seeing or completing a purchase. Each record holds the action name, the time, the app version, and a one-way code that stands for the league; it is linked to your Handlez account. It never holds rosters, player names, questions, or answers. We keep these records for up to 400 days and delete them with your account. We use no third-party analytics or advertising tools.
Ask Handlez and the Handlez assistant use an AI model to read your question and write a short answer from numbers that Handlez computes. Before the first use the app shows what is sent and to whom, and nothing is sent until you tap Allow.
AI answers can be wrong. They are not betting, medical, or financial advice, and Handlez never changes anything in Yahoo.
When you send feedback from Settings, we receive the text you write, the app version, the screen you came from, and the app language, linked to your Handlez account. It reaches the developer as a notification and on an internal page. We keep it for 180 days to answer and fix problems, never use it for anything else, never share it, and delete it with your account.
Our website (handlez.app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It sets no cookies, does not identify you, and does not follow you across sites. For our ad page we also count visits and App Store button taps per campaign link, without storing your IP address or browser details.
No advertising or third-party analytics SDKs in the app, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling of personal data.
Only to show your leagues and recommendations, answer the questions you ask, send the alerts you turned on, understand which features are used, and keep the service running.
Vercel and Hetzner (hosting; Hetzner servers in Germany), Supabase (database, EU region), Expo (push notification delivery), Yahoo (fantasy data), RevenueCat (in-app purchase processing; receives a random customer id, never your name or Yahoo account), and, only after you allow AI processing, OpenAI (AI models). Each provider processes data only to run its service for us and protects it at least as well as this policy. Public NBA schedules, scores, injuries, and news come from ESPN and BALLDONTLIE; no personal data is sent to them.
Yahoo league data is cached for up to 24 hours. Your settings, watchlist, and notifications are kept until you delete your account, or 13 months after your last sign-in. Product usage records are kept up to 400 days, feedback 180 days, reported answers 90 days, error reports 14 days.
Turn notifications or AI processing off in Settings. Delete Account in Settings removes your Handlez data immediately, including usage records, AI permission, and reports, and revokes Handlez's access to Yahoo; your Yahoo account is not affected. California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell data).
Handlez is not intended for children under 13.
We will update this page and the date above when the policy changes. Questions, reports, and support: kamcicistudio@gmail.com.
